2008 Spring Calendar for meetings and field trips

Details of all 2008 field trips are currently tentative and will be revised in the next few weeks.

Unless otherwise noted, all regular meetings will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room in the Community Building in the Foxdale Village Retirement Community.

Details of local field trips will be announced on the scbirdcl e-mail list.

January 12, 2008 (Saturday)
** Field Trip: Big Valley Trip
Visit Shaver's Creek Nature Center feeders and woods. Then search for open country raptors and field birds in Big Valley.

January 23, 2008 (Wednesday)
Regular Meeting

Program: Our guest speaker will be Larry Ramsey who will talk about his trip to Antarctica.

February 10, 2008 (Sunday)
** Field Trip: Manure Chase
Open country birds in Centre County (The infamous annual "Manure Chase" ). What happens on this type of field trip?

February 21, 2008 (Thursday)
** Field Trip: Search for owls
Evening field trip. Meet at 7 p.m. behind the Omega Bank in the Westerly Parkway shopping Center.

February 27, 2008 (Wednesday)

** Field Trip: Lower Trail
Led by Greg Grove and Dave Kyler. Streamside walk on Rails-to-Trails bikeway. Possibility of Yellow-throated and Cerulean Warbler, and Waterthrushes.
